Mr. Ziyad Samadzade, Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee of the Azerbaijani Parliament, visited Beijing and Xi’an from 24 to 30 April as the guest of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA). In Beijing, Ms. Jiang Yiman, Vice Chairperson of China-Azerbaijan Friendship Group of the National People’s Congress (NPC) and Member of NPC Foreign Affairs Committee, met with Mr. Samadzade. Mr. Samadzade was also received by Mr. Chen Yonglong, Vice President of CPIFA, and Mr. Zhang Xiyun, Director General of European and Central Asian Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and had a discussion with scholars from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Mr. Samadzade shared his views with his Chinese counterparts on climate change and the Chinese economy.
