At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Dr. Condoleezza Rice, former US Secretary of States, visited Sanyan and Beijing from March 20 to 23, 2010. During her stay in Sanya, Dr. Rice delivered a speech at Boao International Tourism Forum. Vice Premier Wang Qishan, State Counslor Dai Bingguo, Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi, Commerce Minister Chen Deming met with her. Amb. Li Zhaoxing, the honorary President of the CPIFA and Amb. Yang Wenchang, the President of the CPIFA, co-hosted a dinner in Dr. Rice’s honor. Both sides exchanged ideas on Sino-US relations, Sino-US trade cooperation, China’s peaceful development and China’s tourism development.
