At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), Dr. Medgyessy Peter, former Prime Minister of Hungary visited China from 9 to 18 May. ?Mr. Chen Fenxiang, Vice Minister in charge of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, and Ambassador Cheng Tao, Vice President of CPIFA, met Dr. Medgyessy. Dr. Medgyessy Peter delivered a speech at the Institute of Russian, Eastern European and Central Asian Studies of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The two sides exchanged views on world economic situation and political situation in Hungary.
