?????? Professor Xu Kuangdi, President of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), Chinese side Chairman of CGDF met with Professor Braun, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at TüV Rheinland Holding AG, German side Chairman of CGDF on the afternoon of 20 May in the CAE. The two sides exchanged views on the preparatory work of the First Meeting of the Second Round of CGDF. Ambassador Yang Wenchang, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), and Ambassador Cheng Tao, CPIFA Vice President, were also present at the meeting.
?????? Professor Xu Kuangdi was confident that the new Forum would be more dynamic through the concerted efforts of the two sides. Professor Braun said, he would work together with the Chinese side to contribute to a vigorous Forum based on its previous foundation.

?????? CGDF was set up in 2005 on the initiative of the Prime Ministers of the two countries. President Hu Jintao and German President Horst Koehler attended the signing ceremony of a new agreement between the two Foreign Ministries on 17 May 2010 as the agreement for the First Round of the Forum would expire this year.
