At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), the Oregon State Government and Trade Delegation headed by the State Treasurer Ted Wheeler, visited Fuzhou, Shanghai and Beijing from May 21 to 30, 2010. During their stay in Fuzhou, Mr. Hong Jiexu, Vice Governor of Fujian Province, hosted a dinner in the delegation’s honor. The delegation briefed the Fujian business circle on investment policy of the Oregon State. In Shanghai, the delegation visited Shanghai Expo and Ferrotec Company. In Beijing, Amb. Chen Yonglong, Vice President of the CPIFA, hosted a luncheon in the delegation’s honor. Mr. Zhang Guoqing, Deputy Director of Hanban, met with the delegation. Both sides exchanged views on China - Oregon friendly relations and China’s investment in Oregon.
