At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs(CPIFA), Mr. Gerhard Schroeder, former Chancellor of Germany，visited Beijing from 2 to 6 Novermber.  Mr. Li Shenglin, Minister of Transport of China met with him. The two sides exchanged views on China-Germany relations and cooperation in field of transportation. In addition, Mr. Schroeder met with leaders of Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC) and other enterprises, and received a interview by the Approaching Carl Marx film crew sponsored by JYJ and CCTV NDF.

       Mr. Schroeder speaks highly of the China’s achievementssince its reforming and opening 30 years ago. He disagrees to brand China with "arrogance" and “intransigence” labels, but admires China for its positive role in the world community.
