Former Governor General of Jamaica Sir Hall Visits China

At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), H. E. Sir Kenneth O. Hall, Former Governor General of Jamaica, and Mrs. Hall visited Beijing, Tianjin, Xi’an, Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou from November 5 to 18, 2010, after attending the China-Latin America and the Caribbean Think Tank Forum. During his visit, Mr. Chen Haosu, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries(CPAFFC), Ambassador Cai Jinbiao, Vice President of CPIFA, Madam Cao Xiaohong, Vice Chairwoman of Tianjin Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Madam Li Dongyu, Vice President of Shanxi Provincial Committee of CPPCC, Mr. Wang Xiaoshu, Vice President of Shanghai Municipal Committee of CPAFFC, Mr. Huang Qin, Vice Mayer of Suzhou City and Mr. Gong Zheng, Vice Governor of Zhejiang Province, met with and hosted welcoming banquets for Sir Hall respectively.
Sir Kenneth O. Hall expressed his deep admiration on China’s achievements since it adopted the Reform and Opening-up Policy 30 years ago. He said the two sides need to further deepen the corporation in various fields such as academic, trade and commercial exchanges. He confirms to continue his contribution for the Sino-Jamaican friendship.
