At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), the 3rd U.S. Media Delegation of 2010 composed of 6 members sponsored by the China-U.S. Exchange Foundation of the Hong Kong SAR and organized by the BLJ Company of the U.S. visited Beijing, Nanning, Hangzhou and Shanghai successively from Nov 14 to 24. During the visit in Beijing, Amb. Chen Yonglong, Vice President of the CPIFA, Mr. Xie Feng, Director-General of the Department of North American and Oceanian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Guo Wenqiang, Deputy Director-General of the Publicity Division of Political Department of the Ministry of Railway, Mr. Cai Fang, Member of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and Director of the Institute of Population and Labor Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) and Prof. Yu Yongding, Research Fellow of the Institute of World Economics and Politics of the CASS, met with or hosted banquets respectively in honor of the delegation. The two sides exchanged views on social and economic development of China and other issues.
