Honorable President Li meets with Mr. Nicolas Berggruen

On February 18, Honorable President Li Zhaoxing met with Mr. Nicolas Berggruen, Founder and President of the Nicolas Berggruen Institute (NBI) and President of Berggruen Holdings.
During the meeting, Mr. Berggruen expressed his intention to create a forum for dialogue and action – NBI 21st Century Council – that discusses the present challenges of global governance in a broader and longer-term perspective. Its members will include former statesmen and government officials as well as leading thinkers from economic circles to academia. The 21st Century Council is aimed to provide advice of overall and strategic importance to the G-20 as a non-state advisory forum at the informal level.
Honorable President Li exchanged views with Mr. Berggruen on the 21st Century Council and briefed him on the history and main functions of CPIFA.
