At the invitation of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), the Australian Senators’ Delegation headed by Senator Sam Dastyari of the Australian Labor Party  visited Beijing, Haerbin and Shenzhen from January 20 to 31,2015. Madam Fu Ying, Chairwoman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the NPC, Mr.Zhou Wenzhong, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC, Madam Xu Lvping, Vice Minister of the International Department of CPC Central Committee, Mr Zheng Zeguang, Assistant Foreign Minister, Mr.Gai Ruyin, Executive Vice Chairman of Heilongjiang Provincial People’s Congress met with the delegation respectively. Amb. Lu Shumin, Executive Vice President of CPIFA hosted a dinner in its honor. The delegation also held discussions with experts and scholars from the Institute of International Economic Research, NDRC and China Institute of International Studies. The visit also covered Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.，Shenhua Overseas Development Co., Ltd., Yuhu Group and Everich Industrial Development Co., Ltd. The two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, economic and trade cooperation and Australia’s foreign policy.
