From October 7 to 11, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) hosted a bipartisan Congressional delegation led by the U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer. The delegation visited Beijing and Shanghai. In Beijing, President Xi Jinping, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji, and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with the delegation respectively. In Shanghai, Shanghai Party Secretary Chen Jining met with the delegation.
 
Mr. Wang Chao, President of the CPIFA greeted and met with the delegation at the airport in Shanghai upon their arrival. Mr. Li Jie, Vice President of the CPIFA accompanied the delegation through the visit.
