“Marching with Youth” CPIFA Open Day Themed Event Held
On May 16, 2025, some 20-plus youth representatives from the relevant departments of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and the China Geological Survey, and the Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were invited to the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) for the Institute’s Open Day themed event “Marching with Youth”, and exchanged views with their peers from the CPIFA.

By visiting the historical buildings in the CPIFA compound, seeing exhibitions of photos and historical archives and video-watching, the young people reviewed the proud CPIFA history, and learned about the unique role of people-to-people diplomacy in the external relations of New China in different historical periods. They agreed that the principle established in the early days of New China of “grounding our work in the people, keeping the people in mind, and placing our hopes on the people” rings as true as ever and remains highly relevant today. The young people shared their experiences and thoughts on their respective work in safeguarding the sovereignty, security and development interests of the country. They held that people-to-people diplomacy can and will make a bigger difference in the new era, and young people should learn from history, remain committed to serving the people, and uphold fundamental principles while breaking new ground. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics fora New Era, Xi Jinping Thought on Diplomacy and Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, young people must live up to their responsibilities, forge ahead with great enthusiasm, and bring their intellect and strength to bear in the development of the country and the great?rejuvenation of the nation.

CPIFA Vice President Zou Xiaoli, Secretary of Party-related Affairs Zhou Haihong and Deputy Secretary General Zhang Lu attended the event and had a lively interaction with the young people.
